ムラサキイガイ

Mytilus galloprovincialis
イガイ目イガイ科．殻長約6 cm．殻皮の光沢は弱い．濃青紫色．ムラサキインコガイより三角形に近い．殻頂部の内面に隔板はない．一般にムラサキインコガイよりよりも低い潮間帯下部に密集している．北ヨーロッパからの移入種である．

イガイ目イガイ科．殻長約４cm．陸奥湾の岩礁の潮間帯上部に絨毯の様に二重，三重に重なって密集して付着している．一般に，コンクリートなどの人工物に付着することは少ない．生殖シーズンは夏期．

イタボガキ科．大型，一般に縦長で厚質.底質や固着する地物により殻形が大きく変わる.左殻は右殻よりも深く，固着面は一般に広い.殻表は白色ないし紫褐色で不規則な褶壁がある．生殖シーズンは夏期．

Large, long, and thick. Shell shape changes depending on attached substrate. Left shell deeper than right shell. Shell surface white or purplish brown with irregular plicae. Reproduce in the summer.

Mizuhopecten yessoensis (Jay, 1857)
イタヤガイ科. 殻長15 cm. 25本前後の放射肋のある類円形の殻をもつ大型種. 閉殻筋（貝柱）が大きく発達する. 食用. 陸奥湾では養殖が盛んで重要な水産物の1つとなっている．鰓にカイアシ類のホタテエラカザリが寄生することがある．

Pectinidae. Shell length is 15 cm. Shell is large, suborbicular with about 25 rounded radial ribs. The size of adductor muscle is large. Edible. Arrow indicates a parasitic copepod.
アズマニシキ

Chlamys farreri nipponensis
カキ目イタヤガイ科．殻径が８cmほどの二枚貝．左右の貝殻の形はわずかに異なる．その貝殻の隙間から「足糸（そくし）」と呼ばれる細い糸を出して，岩などに付着している．

Shell size 8 cm. Two shells slightly differ in shape. This species attaches to rocks by its byssus.
コベルトフネガイ

フネガイ目フネガイ科．殻長約4.5 cm．前後に長い箱形でよく膨らむ．足糸開口は腹縁中央部に大きく開く．岩の隙間に強力な足糸でしっかりとくっついている．そのため，靭帯のある背面を見ることになる．貝殻の腹側には殻毛が生える．

イガイ目イガイ科．殻長約15 cm（写真右）．殻は三角形に近い形．潮位下に生息する個体は殻に光沢がないが，写真のように潮間帯に暮らす個体はきれいな光沢を放つ．日本在来種である．近年移入種ムラサキイガイの生息域が縮小するにつれて，よく見られるようになった．潮下帯の個体は貝殻が厚く縦に伸長し，殻長20 cm以上になる．

Shell length 15 cm. Shells triangular. Individuals from the subtidal zone does not have a luster but those from the intertidal zone have a luster. Subtidal individuals have thicker, longer shells.

殻長約9 cm．よく膨らんだ形をしている．前背縁（写真右下）は殻頂から突出する．後背部にゴワゴワとした殻毛が密に生える．潮間帯から潮下帯に棲息している．

Shell ength 9 cm. Swelled shape. Anterodorsal ridge projected than umbo. Posterodorsally with hair. Found from the intertidal to subtidal zone.

ミノガイ科．卵型で後傾，薄質で強く膨れる．前縁部は全体にわたって大きく開口する．殻表は白色から淡褐色、触手は黄褐色．

エゾキンチャク

Swiftopecten swiftii
イタヤガイ科．中大型で縦長，ふくらみは中程度で，殻頂角は小さい．前耳は後耳に比べて大きい．右殻に4本，左殻に5本の太い放射肋があり，全面が細肋に覆われる。Moderately inflated shape. Anterior and posterior auricles differ in size. Right shell with 4 thick ribs and left shell with 5 thick ribs.

キヌマトイガイ科．殻長約2cm．殻は薄くやや膨らむ．殻頂から後腹隅へ稜があり，ときには稜上は棘状になる．後端は裁断状．内面は白色．外套線は不連続で，ほとんど湾入しない．Shell length 2 cm. Shells thin and slightly inflated shape. Ridge present from umbo to postero-ventral corner. Ridge occasionally with spines. Posterior end cutoff. White inside.

最大殻長12 cm以上になる大型のイタボガキ類．殻は厚く、左殻が大きく膨らむ．陸奥湾から九州まで分布．食用．浅虫では潮間帯から潮下帯で確認される．

Large-sized ostreid species reaching a shell length of 12 cm or more. Shell is thick and left valve is strongly inflated. This species is distributed from Mutsu Bay to Kyushu. Edible. It is found from intertidal to subtidal zones.
ナミマガシワ

Anomia chinensis
ナミマガシワ科．不規則な類円形で薄い．左殻はやや膨らみ，桃色・黄色などに染まるが，右殻は無色で扁平で，左殻よりも薄い．右殻の殻頂部に石灰化した足糸がでる丸い湾入または穴がある．Irregular round shape. Thin. Left shell slightly inflated and pink/yellow coloration. Right shell flat and lacks coloration. Indentation or hole for the byssus on umbo of right shell.

殻長約3.5 cm．白く厚い殻をもち，よく膨らんだ形をしている．強い放射肋が表面にある．潮間帯－水深20 mの小石混じりの砂泥底にすむ．食すると，少し苦みがある．Shell length 3.5 cm. White, thick, well inflated shells. Robust ribs. Found from the muddy sand bottom with pebbles. Habitat depth range from the intertidal zone to 20 m.
スジホシムシモドキヤドリガイ

Nypponomysella subtruncata (Yokoyama, 1927)
殻長約2 mm. 殻は長卵形. スジホシムシモドキに付着. センターらの研究により、青森からも分布が確認された（阿部 2023: 石巻専修大学紀要）
Shell length is ca. 2 mm. Shell is oval. This species are attached to the sipunculan Siphonosoma cumanense.

殻長約4.5 cm. 泥岩などに穿孔する，卵型の二枚貝．殻の前部はおろし金状になっている．成長後休止期になると前部は被板で塞がれる．死んだ後の穴はアナヤドカリなどの生き物に利用される．生殖シーズンは夏期．写真2枚目は背側、3枚目は腹側。

殻長約3.5 cm．泥岩などに穿孔する，卵型の二枚貝．殻の前部はおろし金状になっている．前腹縁は大きく開き，吸盤状の足を出している．生殖シーズンは夏期．
域の潮間帯－水深20 mに生息する．肉食性である.

殻長3 mm．殻は薄く半透明で丸みをおびる．ムラサキインコガイの足糸に自身の足糸を付着させて体を固定し，生活している．Shell length 3 mm. Shells thin, translucent, and round. Found attached to Septifer virgatus’ byssus using its own byssus.

ザルガイ科. 大きさは約 6 cm. 殻は厚く, 卵円形で膨らむ. 殻表には40本前後の放射状の肋がある. 浅虫では裸島周辺の水深5 m付近に生息する.
Cardiidae. Shell length is ca. 6 cm. Shell is thick, rounded oval, inflated. Outer surface ornamented with about 40 radial ribs. Edible.

Fulvia mutica (Reeve, 1844)
ザルガイ科. 約10 cm. 薄質で丸みを帯びて膨らんだ殻をもつ. 殻表には毛状の殻皮が生え、放射肋がある. 浅虫では10 m前後の泥底でみつかる.
Cardiidae. ca. 10 cm. Shell this and elongated oval. Shell surface with narrow radial groove and hairy periostracum. Found from muddy bottoms at around 10 m depths in Asamushi.
