ナミイソカイメン

Halichondria panicea (Pallas, 1766)
イソカイメン科．
約10 cm．沿岸の岩などに張り付いている．団塊状の体は，粗い網目の骨片からなっておりゴワゴワとした手触り．平らな体表に数個の出水孔が開く．
ca 10 cm in size. This animal is found on littoral rocks. The mass consists of spicule meshings and has a coarse texture. Several oscula open on its smooth surface.

ムラサキカイメン

Haliclona permollis (Bowerbank, 1866)
ムラサキカイメン科
約10 cm．岩礁海岸の潮間帯でよくみられる．体は不定形．外表面は紫色で，内部はくすんだ黄色．触るとやわらかいスポンジの感触．体表には多くの小突起が並び，それらの先端に小孔が開く．浸水時には群体の中に取り込まれた海水がこの小孔から排出される．
Ca 10 cm in size. This shapeless animal is often found in the intertidal zone of rocky shores. Its surface is purple outside and dull yellow inside. It has a soft sponge-like texture. Numerous small processes are present on its surface with small pores opening at their apexes. These pores function as outlets for seawater when the animal is submerged.

キヌトメバリカイメン

Suberites sericeus Thiele, 1898
コルクカイメン科. くすんだオレンジ色. 浅虫ではコナガニシの殻表面に共生している.
Suberitidae. Color is slightly greyish orange. Symbiosis on the surface of the shell of a gastropod Fusinus ferrugineus in Asamushi.
